Matthew Frumin assists families with trust and estates matters — including wills, trusts, medical and financial powers of attorney and advance directives. He serves as a mediator in family law matters and has been appointed to the Fiduciary Panel of the D.C. Superior Court. He also provides advice and support to businesses seeking to launch and expand operations in the District of Columbia as well as on real estate matters in the District. He has a long record of crafting solutions that fit the needs of the relevant situation.

He has appeared before the Zoning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment, Historic Preservation and Review Board, the Alcoholic Beverage Regulatory Commission and the Department of Transportation Public Space Committee.  He has worked with many District agencies (including DCRA, DDOT, DDOE, DCPS, OSSE, DPR, the Office of Campaign Finance, the Board of Elections, the CFO, the Office of the Attorney General, the Office of the Mayor and the Council.  


Prior to establishing his own law practice, Mr. Frumin worked for Steptoe & Johnson, Cassidy Levy Kent, Arnold & Porter, the U.S. State Department and the National Democratic for International Affairs. He has been a candidate for public office and served as Chairman and Treasurer for D.C. Council campaigns as well as serving as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for six years and on numerous Mayoral and Council taskforces.
